Ludwig Meyer GmbH & Co. KG and Cargonexx GmbH win Eco Performance Award 2018
The EPA jury of renowned representatives from the industry met in the Radschlägersaal room of the Rheinterrasse in Düsseldorf on 20th June and rewarded two companies with the Eco Performance Award 2018 for their pioneering roles in the field of sustainability.
In the “Established companies” category, Ludwig Meyer GmbH & Co. KG was singled out for praise as a result of its pioneering work in the fields of electro-mobility and the use of trucks powered by LNG. The winner in the “Start-ups” category – Cargonexx GmbH – is the first company in the transport industry to use self-learning algorithms to predict electricity spot-market prices and charging currents. The award ceremony took place during PTV Group’s FIT FOR PROFIT conference.
BODAN Großhandel für Naturkost GmbH and InstaFreight GmbH win Eco Performance Award 2017
The jury of experts drawn from renowned representatives of industry has met and once more made its decision: on 8 May 2017, in the Leonardo Royal Hotel, Munich, the coveted sustainability prize was awarded for the tenth time to companies shown to be pioneers in matters of sustainability. In the "Small and midsized Companies" category, BODAN Großhandel für Naturkost GmbH won over the jury, while InstaFreight GmbH met with success in the newly created "Startups" category. In addition to the winners, Alpensped GmbH Internationale Logistik, Saloodo! GmbH, Fercam AG, Caffrey International Ltd. Ireland and LOSTnFOUND AG excelled by being nominated for the award.

The jury of renowned industry representatives has made its decision again: for the ninth time, on 22 September in the Peppermint Pavilion in Hanover, the sought-after sustainability award was presented to companies with a leading role in sustainability. Ludwig Meyer GmbH & Co. KG impressed the jury of experts in the small and medium-sized businesses category. In the large companies category, Berliner Stadtreinigungsbetriebe won an award. For the first time, a particularly innovative and sustainable solution for specific requirements outside logistics was awarded a special prize: the ECO Honor Award goes to Deutsche Post DHL for its Streetscooter project.

Award is entering round nine
On 22 September 2016 the Eco Performance Award, Europe‘s leading sustainability award, is entering round nine in the Peppermint Pavilion in Hanover. It looks like the award already has Europe-wide appeal: „Around half of the submissions come from other European countries. For example from Austria, Italy, Luxembourg as well as from Turkey“, says a delighted Prof. Wolfgang Stölzle, jury chairman and tenured professor of logistics management at the University of St.Gallen. „We are very pleased about this, because it shows that sustainability is taken seriously internationally as well.“

A new application and selection process has been implemented for the leading European award for sustainability in the commercial cargo transport sector, the Eco Performance Award. Interested companies can now register online and send in a short application until 31.1.2016 to convince the specialist jury of the potential of their concept with relatively little effort. Innovative measures are evaluated as well as dependable, application-oriented holistic concepts. The ten most promising applicants may send in a detailed application. The winners will be awarded at the celebratory prize award ceremony in Hanover on 22.9.2016.
Contargo wins Eco Performance Award 2015
The winner of the Eco Performance Awards 2015 is Contargo GmbH & Co. KG from Duisburg. The DKV Euro Service and its premium partners Knorr-Bremse and PTV Group and the University of St.Gallen are presenting this award for the eight time; it recognises transport and logistics companies who successfully reconcile economic, ecological and social objectives. Following a thorough review by the high-profile jury of experts Contargo was presented with the award on the eve of the transport logistic 2015 exhibition in the "Alte Ziegelei 101" in Munich
Eco Performance Award: two new jury members
On 4th May 2015 in Munich, the eighth Eco Performance Award ceremony will honour companies that operate particularly sustainably in the goods and private haulage transport industry. Several changes have recently occurred in the membership of the award’s jury of experts from business and science: Knorr-Bremse Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH is now represented by Dr. Christian Büssow, Head of Logistics, who follows on from Managing Director Wolfgang Krinner. For Siemens AG, Steffen Rudkowsky, Senior Vice President and Head of EM Division Logistics, takes the place of his colleague, Andrea Abt.
Eco Performance Award 2015: deadline for applications is 31 January
For the eighth time, on 4 May 2015, on the eve of the Transport Logistic fair in Munich, the Eco Performance Award will be presented. It recognises heavy goods and own account transport companies who are economically, ecologically and socially responsible and have adopted a comprehensive sustainability strategy. To provide interested parties and applicants with even better information, the website at has been given a facelift. The application documents can be requested via an online form on the new website. The application deadline is 31 January 2015.
Eco Performance Award jury: Krinner succeeds Weng
On 4th May 2015 in Munich, the eighth Eco Performance Award ceremony will honor companies that operate particularly sustainably in the goods and private haulage transport industry. Wolfgang Krinner, Member of the Management Board of Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Nutzfahrzeuge GmbH in Munich, was recently appointed to the jury for the coming application and selection phase. He succeeds Dr. Stephan Weng, who has left the Management Board at Knorr-Bremse. With his many years of experience in project management – in close cooperation with customers and suppliers – Wolfgang Krinner brings valuable expertise to the jury.

Elflein Spedition & Transport wins Eco Performance Award
The winner of the Eco Performance Award 2014 is Elflein Spedition & Transport GmbH, a company from Bamberg in Bavaria. With this award, DKV Euro Service and its Premium Partners Knorr-Bremse und PTV Group for the seventh time recognise transport and logistics companies who successfully reconcile economic, ecological and social objectives. Following a thorough review by the high-profile panel of experts, Elflein was presented with the award on the eve of the IAA Nutzfahrzeuge trade fair at the Expowal in Hannover. The company impressed the panel of experts headed by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Stölzle from the University of St.Gallen with its sustainability strategy that has been implemented throughout the company.
